About Us
South El Monte Community Outreach (SEMCO) is a community and faith based church with the California Southern Baptist Convention (www.csbc.com). Through network relationships with agencies like Parks and Recreation, local schools, law enforcement and the Los Angeles County Departments of Children and Family Services and Probation SEMCO helps to provide programs and events in the communities of South El Monte and El Monte.
SEMCO helps meet spiritual needs in the community by providing Sunday Services in English,
a Children Church and Youth Class at 10 am and our Spanish ministry, Iglesia Evangelica Sur El Monte worships at 12 Noon. On Wednesdays, a Spanish Bible Study is offered at 1pm at Mary Van Dyke Park in South El Monte. Our core beliefs are: faith in Christ (John 3: 16), learning God's Word (2 Timothy 3: 16, 17), loving one another (1 John 4: 7), serving our community (Matthew 25: 35, 36), taking the good news to the ends of the earth (Matthew 28: 19, 20), prayer (Philippians 4: 6,7) and Stewardship (Luke 16: 10).
