Learning God's Word,
Serving Our Community

Thanks for visiting!
The South El Monte Community Outreach (SEMCO) began August 13, 2012, and networks with local schools, businesses, city and county children's, youth and family agencies, and others to provide activities and services in the local community including church services. SEMCO began Sunday Services in July 2014. SEMCO became a 501c3 in March 2020.

We are a Christian ministry that desires, as Jesus called us, to be the "salt of the earth" and "the light of the world" (Matthew 5: 13 - 16). We meet to study and "hear" God's Word (2 Timothy 3: 16, 17). We serve our community to "do" God's Word (Luke 11: 28).
We invite you to visit us on Sundays for services in English at 10 am. We no longer are meeting at Shively School and are thankful to the Valle Lindo School District for allowing SEMCO to conduct services for more than 6 years at Shively School. In September 2020, SEMCO moved Sunday Services to Mary Van Dyke Park in South El Monte. SEMCO moved again and is now meeting at New Hope Community Church in El Monte. Children and Youth classes are offered during Sunday Services. Beginning August 8, 2021, Iglesia Evangelica Sur El Monte (the Spanish Ministry of SEMCO) worships in a Spanish Service at 12 Noon. SEMCO plans to eventually move back to South El Monte as the Lord provides a permanent location where we can rent or lease.
